Gable Parkway
In this project for a repeat client, we were tasked with bringing curb appeal and opening up the public spaces of the house. We removed a large portion of the roof, and designed a vaulted gable to be perpendicular to the existing single roof gable. This brought height and increased visual interest to the spaces. It also provided the house with more natural light, a dramatic entryway, and ample room for living spaces.

Location: Portland, OR
We reconfigured the house plan and, with great help from the clients, designed new finishes throughout.
The ceilings are made from resurfaced Sugar Pine bleacher seats from UC Santa Barbara’s “Thunderdome Stadium”.
We renovated the primary bed/bathroom suite, reimagined the shared bathroom, and improved other bedrooms as well.

A new HVAC system, efficient windows, and improved thermal performance through additional insulation greatly increased this home’s energy efficiency.
